Perscription Eyewear: Seeing in three easy steps
Seeing great, looking great and feeling great is easy as 123. The 3 simple steps begins with the eye exam, choosing your lenses and then frame styling.
Step One
Comprehensive Eye Exams
During an eye exam, Dr. Philbeck and Dr. Boyd will ask you questions about any symptoms or issues you are experiencing, medications you are currently taking, any blurry vision, your work environment, and your overall health. Family history and previous eye or vision conditions will also be discussed during this part of the examination. Dr. Harrington will consider this information when determining any treatments or recommendations.
Step Two
Lens Selection
Thinner and lighter lens materials have benefitted eyeglasses in a very significant way. Thin eyeglasses are attractive; thick ones aren't. Light eyeglasses are comfortable; heavy ones aren't. So it's no surprise that most of us want the thinnest, lightest eyeglasses possible.
Just don't stop there. Add an anti-reflective coating to your lenses. Anti-reflective coatings are beneficial for virtually everyone who wears eyeglasses. Also, research shows wearing AR coated lenses improves night driving vision and increases comfort during prolonged computer use (compared with wearing uncoated lenses).
Depending on what you need to see your best rest assured we will explain your options from the most cutting edge digital progressive to the Individual for single vision.
